1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions govern all bookings made through theallerdale.com

By making a booking, you agree to be legally bound by these terms.

2. Booking Confirmation

All bookings are subject to availability.

A booking is only confirmed once we have received the required deposit and issued written confirmation.

The person making the booking must be at least 18 years old and is responsible for all guests staying at the property.

3. Payment Terms

A non-refundable deposit of 25% of the total booking cost is required at the time of booking.

The remaining balance must be paid in full 28 days prior to arrival.

If the balance is not received by the due date, we reserve the right to cancel the booking and retain the deposit.

4. Cancellation Policy

More than 28 days before arrival: Deposit retained, no further charges.

Less than 28 days before arrival or no-show: 100% of the booking cost payable.

Cancellations must be made in writing (email accepted).

We strongly recommend guests take out travel insurance to cover cancellations.

5. Amendments to Bookings

Any changes to bookings must be requested in writing.

We will try to accommodate changes but cannot guarantee availability.

Amendments may incur an administration fee.

6. Check-in and Check-out

Check-in: from 3:00 PM

Check-out: by 10:30 AM

Early check-in or late check-out may be available by prior arrangement only.

7. Security Deposit / Damages

Guests are responsible for any damage, breakages, or excessive cleaning required.

Costs may be deducted from the deposit or charged after departure within 7 days if necessary.

8. Guest Responsibilities

Guests agree to:

Keep the property clean and in good condition

Respect neighbours and avoid excessive noise

Not exceed the maximum occupancy stated in the booking

Not use the property for illegal or commercial activities

Failure to comply may result in immediate termination of the stay without refund.

9. Smoking & Pets

Smoking is permitted only in designated areas.

Pets are allowed by prior arrangement only and may incur additional charges.

10. Liability

We shall not be liable for any loss, damage, or injury to guests or their belongings during their stay, except where caused by our negligence.

Guests use all facilities at their own risk.

11. Force Majeure

We shall not be liable for cancellations or changes due to circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to extreme weather, government restrictions, pandemics, or utility failures.

12. Right to Refuse or Terminate Stay

We reserve the right to refuse a booking or terminate a stay without refund if guests breach these terms or behave in a manner that is unsafe or inappropriate.

13. Complaints

Any issues must be reported during your stay to allow us the opportunity to resolve them. Complaints raised after departure may not be considered.

14. Data Protection

Your personal information will be handled in accordance with applicable data protection laws and used only for booking and communication purposes.

15. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
